Types of Cookies We Use
Essential
Keeps quizzes running: session IDs, CSRF tokens, quiz progress, and payment security. Without these, TypeMyself breaks.
Preference
Saves things like reduced-motion settings or which quiz you viewed last so we can reopen it quickly.
Performance
Caches assets (images, fonts, icons) so the site loads faster on repeat visits.
Analytics (optional)
If you opt in, PostHog drops a cookie to understand anonymized usage patterns. Disable anytime via banner or browser.
Third-Party Cookies
Stripe
Payment security, fraud detection, and 3D Secure challenges. Required for checkout to function.
PostHog
Optional analytics cookie only set if you accept analytics in the banner or settings modal.
Supabase
Authentication + row-level security for attempts saved to your account.
Your Choice
How to Control Cookies
On TypeMyself
Use the cookie banner or footer link to toggle analytics/performance cookies. Essential cookies remain on so quizzes work.
In your browser
Delete all cookies, block third-party cookies, or use private mode. Instructions vary by browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
Note: Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and prevent quiz progress from saving.
Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track (DNT) signal, we automatically disable PostHog and performance cookies. Essential cookies remain so the product can function. You can combine DNT with the cookie banner for extra control.
