Information We Collect
Every data point exists for a reason. We only capture what we need to create your assessment, deliver your results, and keep the platform secure.
Quiz Activity
Quiz answers, progress, timestamps, and completion status so we can calculate your results and save your spot if you pause.
Account Basics
Name (optional), email address (required for paid reports), and anonymized device info for fraud prevention.
Checkout & Billing
We send Stripe the minimum required data to process your $1.99 payment. TypeMyself never sees or stores your card numbers.
Diagnostics & Analytics
Performance logs, crash traces, and optional PostHog analytics (aggregated + anonymized) so we can fix issues fast.

What We Never Do
No selling data
We do not rent, sell, or trade your information. Revenue comes from results, not ads or data deals.
No individual sharing
Your quiz answers + results are never shown to other users, employers, or partners without your written permission.
No third-party AI training
We do not feed your responses into external LLMs. If we experiment with AI, we use scrubbed, synthetic data.
No spam
We only email you essential transactional updates unless you’ve opted into the newsletter. Opt out anytime.
How We Protect Your Data
Supabase row-level security
Every quiz attempt is scoped to the user who created it. Admin-only policies block unauthorized access.
End-to-end encryption
HTTPS everywhere, TLS 1.3 enforced, and encrypted secrets via Vercel + Supabase vaults.
Payment isolation
Stripe handles card numbers, PCI compliance, and fraud checks. We store only the transaction ID + status.
Continuous monitoring
Automated alerts for abnormal spikes, failed logins, and data drift. We rotate logs every 30 days.

Stored until you delete them or request account removal.

Need to fix your name or email? Reach out and we’ll update records manually within 24 hours.
Deletion
Send a deletion request to privacy@typemyself.com. Everything gets scrubbed within 30 days unless law says otherwise.
Analytics opt-out
Disable cookies via our banner or enable your browser’s Do Not Track signal—PostHog drops immediately.

International Transfers & Regional Rights
Our infrastructure currently lives in the United States. If you’re located in Canada, the EU, or the UK, your information is transferred under Standard Contractual Clauses and Supabase’s Data Processing Agreement. EU/UK residents retain GDPR rights (access, correction, portability, objection). Canadians receive the same protections provided under PIPEDA.
Children
TypeMyself is built for adults and older teens who can legally consent to data processing in their region. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the product, email us and we’ll remove the data immediately.
